Reiki can be transmitted to any living thing directly by touch or from a distance. This is a holistic therapy working physiologically and psychologically. It involves the Reiki Practitioner placing both hands on or above the client in specific positions, which 'opens' up the body's energy channels to clear blockages and imbalances inducing the restoration of a healthy entity.

Reiki is a non-invasive treatment applied through clothes with the client positioned however they are most comfortable in more or less any environment near or far from the practitioner.
